Update. 21 January 2021
I’ve decided to convert this site to matangmanok.com and see where it takes me. This means I can open the site for donations via PayPal using the email kalayaan7@gmail.com.
Update. 23 August 2013
I posted an odd announcement which might get lost as time passes. But it is fairly important as it gives an odd summary of my publication history. Here is the LINK to that post.
Update. 9 March 2012.
What started out as a ramble has become a bridge, though small. I can hear footsteps in the distance, slowly coming closer. New readers, possible friends. Crossing a bridge made of words. It is a good feeling, being read.
Thank you to all those who visit once or many times over.
My most recent poetry books, published simultaneously in 2011 by the University of Santo Tomas Publishing House, are another home for my words.
Baha-bahagdang Karupukan and Alien to Any Skin are available in the Philippines from most National Book Stores and a few other independent distributors such as Filipinas Heritage and Solidaridad Bookshop. Online orders may be placed with Mary Martin Booksellers and Kabayan Central.

I started this blog with a strange ramble about chickens. I urge you to read it.

Update. 2 August 2013
I have just a handful of copies of Alien to Any Skin left with me. If you or anyone you know is interested, please send me a message here or at my Goodreads.com profile.
Two new poetry books are due to be released this year by my publisher, University of Santo Tomas Publishing House. Out sometime this August is Sound Before Water, followed not long after (I hope) by Kalmot ng Pusa sa Tagiliran. I am not sure if I should put up blogs for each of them like I did for my two previous books.

Update. 8 May 2014
My publisher released my two new books of poetry, Sound Before Water and Kalmot ng Pusa sa Tagiliran in the last few weeks of 2013. Both are now available in most decent bookstores in Manila and other parts of the Philippines. You can contact UST Publishing House for the nearest outlet or Mary Martin Book Sellers for international orders. I have just a few copies in my possession, so if you’re lucky you can also place an order with me and we’ll see how it goes.

“Sufjan Simone is one of my pen names.” — Why in the world would you name a pen?

A pen by any other name will still run out. Or dry. Or get lost. Or stolen. Or… oh shut up! 😀 Hi Michael! It’s been ages!

Hello, Mr. Agustin! Do you still have an extra copy of your book – Alien to Any Skin? I couldn’t find any in National Bookstore Tacloban, Leyte Branch. We will be using it for our Literary Analysis. Thank you!

Thank you for visiting my little blog. I’m hesitant to single out three poems. That would be like asking a parent to choose his/her favorite children.

wow. Glad to know another poet from the Philippines! 🙂 🙂 🙂 And I love that you have published your poetry book already! 🙂

Hello Sir Agustin!
I would just like you to know that you are one of, if not my favorite poets (Philippine tradition or not) and I have loved your books to the point of mentioning them in Sir Capili’s Class (who also talked about you).
I hope to meet you in person one day!
